biography

an important note

All of the music contained on this website and offered for sync licensing share these things in common:

  • Richard Rossi is the lyricist.
  • Rich and his co-writer own 100% of all rights including the master recordings.
  • Rich is authorized to act on behalf all involved, so the sync licensing process is made quick and simple.

Should you have any questions regarding anything above (or anywhere on this site), please contact us HERE. Without further ado, here’s a little bit about the songwriters involved:

Richard Rossi

A lyricist first and foremost, Rich has been writing and recording with several accomplished musicians and friends for more than a decade. His introduction to songwriting began when he and John Wicks (The Records) began writing songs together over video chats. With John’s passing in 2018, Rich acted as executive producer of For the Record: A Tribute to John Wicks, featuring platinum selling recording artist Al Stewart, Grammy nominee Peter Case, Paul Collins, Jamie Hoover, Dave Nachmanoff and others, Rich continued this working relationship with the latter two, writing and recording as time permits.

Jamie Hoover

Jamie Hoover’s versatility with the bass guitar is well known as he has recorded with Joe Walsh, Mitch Easter, Hootie & The Blowfish and The Spongetones. Additionally, he has acted as a touring member of The Smithereens, Hootie & The Blowfish, The Spongetones and Graham Parker & The Small Clubs. His association with Graham Parker culminated in an appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman. Jamie’s best known work may be the song “Skinny”, heard nightly on the ABC News segment of the same name. He continues to record and produce today from his North Carolina home studio.

Dave Nachmanoff

Dave Nachmanoff is well known in the world of folk and pop music having toured the world as the guitarist for platinum selling receding artist Al Stewart (“Time Passages”, Year of the Cat”) as well as on his own. His career started at the age of only 9 when he performed with folk legend Libba Cotten. Since then, he’s built a following all over the world and has played everywhere form The Royal Albert Hall in England to the Birchmere in Virginia. Dave writes, records and produces for others (as well as his own work) in his SoCal recording studio.

Glenn Erb

While Glenn Erb may be a new face to some, he has been playing in and around North Carolina for nearly 60 years. Born and raised in Kentucky, Glenn grew up singing in church choirs and playing guitar in various local bands. When he shattered his kneecap playing high school football, he decided that electric guitar was a much safer option. With a lifetime of stories and songs in his back pocket, Glenn figured it was high time he share them. 2024’s Category Four is his first album, a culmination of many years of hard work and a few breaks – lucky and otherwise – along the way.
